OUR PURPOSE
Court Operations is responsible for fulfilling the Sheriff’s constitutional responsibility to provide comprehensive law enforcement and security services to the Henry County Courts. The goal of Court Operations is to provide the appropriate protective response for Henry County employees and the public. Deputies strive daily to ensure the safety of all people and property within the courthouses, courtrooms, and on the surrounding grounds. Court Operations' deputies maintain the integrity of the judicial process and safeguard all persons placed within their custody.
To assist them in fulfilling their mission deputy sheriffs and bailiffs are constantly training while keeping abreast of the latest trends in courthouse security methods. Specialized training in de-escalation techniques and customer service help to enable them to provide services that are proficient and professional.
COLONEL RUTH STRINGER
COMMANDER OF COURT OPERATIONS
Ruth Stringer is a 31-year Law Enforcement veteran who began her journey as a Detention Officer. She rose through the ranks and has performed duties as a Jail Division Supervisor, a Human Resources Supervisor, an Office of Professional Standards Supervisor, a Court Division Assistant Commander, a Training Background and Recruitment Commander, and Interim Sheriff of Dekalb County.
